Example:

We assisted a trade company diversify and grow their product line for export, and establish importing and distribution for complementary products. One of the primary incentives for diversification was the economic volatility of the country where the company was located. The company's primary function was the selection/purchasing, processing, sale and export of cigar tobacco, involving a crop and marketing cycle of 18 months in a country where long-term financing was for three months and annual inflation ranged from 100 to 1000%. The company operated primarily in South America, Europe, North Africa and the US. Many of the buyers were state owned companies that often purchased by means of international public bids. A strong commercial and financial reputation was necessary in order to succeed in these markets. We were able to help the company expand sales from $2 million to $10 million by diversifying the product line to include black pepper, cacao, cloves, picava, etc. and entering new international markets, such as Algeria for example where we were also instrumental in arranging financing in Switzerland to enable the trade. We assisted the company in their strategic planning, industry and government contacts both domestically and internationally, staff administration, development of domestic distribution, international financial negotiations and interaction with attorneys and fiscal agents.
